As we drove over Steven’s pass through Leavenworth we were noticing how quiet, and well running the RV was. In the back of my mind was the start of our previous summer’s adventure when we had planned to visit the Oregon balloon festival. As you may remember from our posts last summer, we had two wheel sensors go out in the RV which put the rig in limp home mode. We managed to drive it 250 miles home on secondary roads in 2nd gear. It took about 2 weeks to have it repaired before we could continue our summer road trip.

Shortly after crossing the Columbia river at Umatilla, our check engine light came on. We pulled into a rest area to put the ODB meter on to try and diagnose the problem. While going through the codes, the check DEF light also came on. We checked the def fluid, and it was topped off, at this point we decided to search for the closest service center (turned out to be about 45 miles away back in Kennewick). We called them from the road to verify we could camp in their service center lot and await diagnostic services in the morning.

The RV just went in for an oil change and to diagnose the engine warning light problem.
